Monitoringtheflowoftheproductthroughthemultipleproductionshopsinthefactorytoensurethatproductionoutputisbeingoptimized.

Forecastandpreventproductionissues.Resolveissuesimpactingshopproductivityincollaborationwithallrequiredgroups,i.e.,shopleadership,productioncontroloperations(materialflow),masterscheduler,andNewProductIntroductionengineers,todevelopanactionplanandleadimplementationtofacilitatequickrecoveryandtominimizeimpactonoverallperformance.

ManagebuildmixofdriveunitsandbatterypacksfornextXhourstoalignwiththemixofcarconfigurationflowingintoGeneralAssembly.

Planandmanagethesequence(configuration)ofcarsflowingintoGeneralAssemblybasedonneartermmaterialconstraints(orotherfactors).

Adjustingtheplanforproductionshopsbasedondownstreamconditions(forinstancestoppingthebuildinBodyinwhileearlyduetoconditionsinthePaintshop).Specifically,thisincludes:

Pullingtheappropriateresourcestogethertodevelopaplan(e.g.changethenear-termmix,deviatetoadifferentpart,procurefromservice)andexecutetacticalplanstoprotectproductionoutput.

SupportECOdeploymentintoandthroughtheshopsmanaged(e.g.coordinatingflowof‘oldstyle’bodiesoutofthebodyshopandthroughpainttoGeneralAssembly).

Identifyandarticulatetherisksthatexisttofactoryduetothecurrentstatusofthesystemandrecommendedactions.

Identifystructuralissues/opportunitiesforimprovementtothesystems,processesorstructurebasedontheoperationalperformancemonitoredandcommunicatedthebacktotheShopManagerandProductionPlannertotakeaction.

Managethesupporttechniciansthatareextendedeyesandearsacrossthefactor.Specificallythisincludes:

ParticipateinthedailyoperationalreviewforProductionControltounderstandandmaintainthehealthofmaterialflowthroughthefactory.

Assistwithinventorycontrolactivities.
