TheTransportConsultingpracticeisinvolvedinarangeofdevelopment,strategyandinfrastructureprojectsforpublicandprivatesectorclients.Theseincludesignificantandhighprofileprojectswhichrequireabroadrangeofskillsandtheabilitytodeliverqualityworkwithinafast-movinganddeadline-drivenenvironment.TheroleisfocusingonTransportandTrafficEngineeringtechnicalsupporttotheTransportConsultinggroupinourShenzhenoffice.

JobContent:

1.Providinganalyticalanddraughtingsupportacrossarangeofdifferentbusinessportfolios,includingprojectsrelatedtonewdevelopment,localtransportandpublictransport.

2.Providingsupporttoprojectsinvolvingpreliminaryhighwaydesign,publictransportinterchanges,businfrastructureandcyclingandwalkingschemes.

3.Participationindesigndevelopmentonprojects

4.PreparationofdrawingsusingAutoCADandrelatedsoftware

5.Providingtechnicalanalysisaspartofprojectteams(forexample,localjunctionmodelling,cycleandwalkingaudits)

6.Responsibilityforensuringthatdrawingscomplywithcorporateandprojectstandards

JobRequirements:

Theidealcandidateshouldhaveabackgroundofexperienceinthetransportplanningandengineeringsector,preferablyincludingtrafficandhighwayengineering.

ThegroupusesAutoCADasstandardbutknowledgeofMicrostationisneededtointerfacewithotherdisciplinesandconsultants.

Skillsrequiredinclude:

-RelevantexperienceintheadvanceduseofAutoCAD

-RelevantexperienceexperienceusingAutoTRACK

-ExperienceintheuseofKeySIGN,KeyLINESandKeyACCIDENT

-WorkingknowledgeofMicrostation.

-Thoroughknowledgeofrelevanthighwaydesignguidesandstandards(includingDesignManualforRoadsandBridges,TrafficSignsRegulationsandGeneralDirections,TrafficSignsManual)

-Workingknowledgeofcarparkdesignguidance(IStructEandotherguidance)

-Workingknowledgeofdesigningforgoodsvehiclesandservicing,includingserviceyardandloadingbaydesign.

-Experienceofdesignofbusandcyclinginfrastructurewouldbehelpful.
